Having Speech Problems

Today has been a fairly hard day.  I’ve not been able to talk.  To be more specific, I have been having this stuttering problem, and making unintelligible sounds when I try to speak.  The apraxia is also an issue.  My jaw got tight and my tongue thrusted out, but mostly the problem was not being able to speak clearly.  I get stuck on a letter or sound and can’t get the word out I am trying to say.  After many attempts I may or may not be understood.

The EMTs came by today when Kim called 911 to have them check me.  I wanted to be sure that I wasn’t having a stroke.  It’s very scary.  I stopped the Neurontin, so maybe I will be getting better soon.  I’ve been on it for a month and started the second month… not sure if that was the culprit causing this or not, but Kimberly flushed the capsules down the toilet.

I’m just keeping to myself pretty much, and writing down what I want to say so I won’t be stressed out.  It stresses me out trying to talk and it gets worse.  I’m doing well with my eating… still making very small portions.
